That was my take.So massive clouds of smoke and steam at Bell Busk and Giggleswick. Presumably T and T on the return from Carnforth.

How do I get an invitation?

Tangmere passing Brock 23 early on the Rolex express.
I wasn't going to go out for this, but the rain stopped just in time :)
    57601 was on the rear.

They chartered a previous trip in 2019, with Lizzie to Holyhead.

That loco continues to look and sound like a show pony every time it is on the NB. I guess what this does is allow other locos in the Carnforth pool to do rather more of the heavy lifting on other charters that in some ways is probably sensible use of West Coast's resources.

And unless I'm mistaken, the NB stock is air braked, and it's the only air fitted loco available.

I have no issue with it being dedicated to NB work, but would like it to run on a couple of 'normal' charters as I have yet to get a ride behind this loco! Any chance of it being allocated to a winter CME!?!

I am suprised West Coast haven't fitted air brake equipment to another loco in their fleet, but guess this is where the rumoured discussions regards Lizzie maybe heading.

Al, unless you were on the train today as an invited guest of Rolex; it doesn’t really matter whether 34067 or 57601 did more or less of the work.

Just so. That's why it's useful but it's not all that sensible to rely on one loco though.

Indeed. The NB is for a different market from those on here. I've no criticism of that at all. Neither do I have a problem with the WCR strategy. What I can't work out is why they stick with vacuum but the 6201 comment may be in the game plan.

Just a couple of short shots of Tangmere being dragged to Bradford near Kettlesbeck and then passing Eldroth on the way to Preston in the pouring rain:

ECS movement seen at Clapham then 34067 with the charter climbing Giggleswick Bank in dismal conditions.
