    I am not a trust member/shareholder myself, but I get my news from their Facebook page, also 7200 group appear on both their own page and the QRS members only page.

    I see that in the new GWS Echo there was a piece about the works being undertaken to the boiler of 7202 so nice to see some progress on that front, plus 7200 also seems to be getting there slowly, I assume no news on 7229.

    Is the 7202 restoration the longest lasting in heritage railway history? It started when I was an eighteen year old apprentice, I've now been retired for eight years. Are any of the original team still involved?

    It was originally intended to be restored by the Heavy Freight Mob at Didcot, who also restored 3822. They probably ran out of steam! Those that are still with us, will be older than you. John Minchin died a few years ago.
