    Glad to see.
70000 arriving on Wednesday next week, this is looking to be a very memorable day out.
So, what's the dealio with brake van rides? Pre-book or same day pay?

76084 arrived in a spring like Swanage this afternoon sandwiched between the two 33's. Only knew as I wondered what the diesel horn was.
I suspect because the DMU was right behind it (on I assume a training run) the ensemble was in the siding before I could walk up to Northbrook Road Bridge.
Personally pleased to see the loco sports an "in service" look.
A two poor images taken from the park. IMG_0562.JPG IMG_0564.JPG

Obviously I know they can turn it, but which way is it facing? Has anyone said anywhere which way the locos are planned to be facing yet? Thanks!

    As of today
    76084 and 34070 face Swanage
    31806 and 34028 face Corfe
70000 believed to face Corfe based on the 5Z move back to Crewe after the gala and D/Ex.

I can not see any other reason that it would be routed via Yeovil Steam centre if it was not going to be turned.
The main problem of course is having to run around the support coach each time, The first obstacle is at Castle Cary where the preceding 1040 Gloucester has to arrive at Pen Mill (1322) before 70000 can follow over the single line.
After servicing, 70000 is booked to stand at Pen Mill from 1528 to 1712, this seems rather excessive, However there are two trains to cross at YPM .The 1455 Weymouth Gloucester 1548-1550 and the 1243 Gt Malvern Weymouth 1617-1620, which clears Maiden Newton 1643, Even if Britannia left YPM a bit early it still has to wait at Maiden Newton for the 1630 Weymouth to Bristol. Also it will be following the 1920 Weymo Waterloo all stations to Poole and then the 1635 Waterloo to Weymouth from Poole to Worgret Jn.
If it had been routed via Salisbury with a servicing stop, It would have had to have been routed via Nursling and run around It's support coach at Southampton during the evening rush hour period, I doubt if Network rail
    would have entertained that idea.

Thanks for the confirmation, So it is no longer 99.99999R% certain that it would be facing London! I Do not have the Yeovil Steam centre on facebook.
Has anyone had issues printing the Gala timetable from the Swanage Railway website? I have tried but only the outward workings print out with the top line of the return workings.
UPDATE: Seems I originally printed it on Landscape, it does print properly on portrait but for some reason my printer produced six copies, quite a waste of printer ink.

I read the Facebook post as arriving chimney first, leaving tender first.

I have just looked at the YSC post, It arrives from Crewe Chimney first, gets turned, departs to Yeovil Pen Mill chimney first, departs after running around its support coach is Tender first to Weymouth etc.

Just to say that our 'proper' name is Yeovil Railway Centre as we welcome diesels as well as steam!
Our Shop & Cafe will be open on Wednesday 22 March for anyone visiting. Sure to be lots interested so come by train (we are adjacent to Yeovil Junction station), bus or Shanks's Pony if possible as our car park will fill!
There is also the extra interest of diverted trains from the Great Western main line due to engineering work.
Admission is by donation (£2 + per adult requested).

76084 was scheduled to have a warming fire on Tuesday with a steam test later today. Hope it goes well.

35028 Eddystone has just departed Swanage (09:15) with stock. Presumably another test run?

Britannia is at Hereford at the moment en route to Swanage. <BJ>

No 34028 is on driver experience for Southern Locos. Absolute bargain at £250 a share to have go .....

Hope that the weather will be fairly reasonable tomorrow in the purbecks!
Have attempted to post a timetable that I had cobbled together for myself based on real time trains, became scrambled when I posted it and I am prevented from deleting it.
    Now Deleted.
I have put together the basic loco diagrams which remain all three days (subject to last minute changes if a Loco was to fail, Lets hope not!
    0915 and 1733 ex Swanage to Norden 34070. 0933 =76084 (70000 attached rear at Norden) 1033 34028 (76084) 1133 31806 (34028) 1233 70000 (31806) 1333 34070 (70000) 1433 34028 (34070) 1533 76084 (34028 1633 70000 (76084)

    Ex Frome River Bridge 4.

All Passenger trains cross at Corfe Castle xx55, except 0915 SW and 1815 ex Norden. The xx39 From CC also crosses at Harmans Cross.
Hope this is of some use.
