It doesn't seem that 21B's advice is being listened to - see Post 7993. There is rudeness with others who do not share the same viewpoint, there are enough 'internet policemen'!
Why not use private messaging to sort problems out?

Why I don't agree with lancahsirelad and oliverbest, I will admit (and you all know) I just guilty about moaning about the railway probably to excess.

I get the feeling some here feel the railway is boarding on sainthood and any concerns are made are not justified in any circumstances?

No thoughts of sainthood from me, I just don't see the need to complain on here when Nat-Pres has no power to change things!

Personally, I think before you complain on here:
    1. Check if your colleagues share your concerns or are you a lone voice. If you're the only one with the concern, then maybe the problem is with you...
    2. Have you addressed your concerns to the management of the railway? Many railways do not have management people engaging on Nat-Pres, so there's little point airing dirty laundry on here.
    3. Is your complaint about something that has been influenced by outside factors? If so, then why complain, as the railway can't do anything about it.
    4. If, after going through points 1, 2 and 3, you really feel the need to post a complaint on NP - just do it once. We don't need to hear about it every few days, since none of the rest of us can do anything about it.

    Well done Mr Ghost sir.
You have hit the nail squarely on the head!
Those of us who will be participating in this weekends "Winter warm up" will I'm sure, do our very best to keep the service running to time, bearing in mind that there will be some 28 movements,(14 round trips)
including eight freight workings so timings will be rather tight!
If he is involved, I hope that Mr "lancahsirelad" understands that.

I wish I could be there but can’t due to no trains on the big railway and I just don’t want the long return drive in the winter for various health related reasons but I hope it goes well and will watch proceedings on the web cam from time to time. Hopefully all will be well for the gala in March and we will be staying at Morton’s Manor in Corfe yet again in July to enjoy this superb line which I used to visit in the 1960s.

Would have liked to make it today.
Looking at the webcam with 50026 on a good train was good, not much exhaust!
Hopefully more goods trains will run later this year?

Seems like a very good turnout from videos and the railcam considering the bad conditions apart from the dry spell on Sunday! Here's to a successful and better 2023 for the railway!

Had a nice weekend at the railway, first visit for a few years. Weather was not kind, although the sun did shine at the end of the day on Sunday as the photos show. Good to get a ride in the observation car on the Saturday. 50026 was carrying a nameplate paying tribute to the late Adrian Shooter, unfortunately I did not get a picture.

Looks like 50026 leaves the railway on Wednesday to return to Eastleigh.

A very nice set of pictures! As a matter of interest, was the shot of 31806 on the freight/ballast train crossing 34070 at Corfe taken on the Saturday or the Sunday?
The reason I ask, I was the CC signalman on Saturday and to eliminate any further delay I had to have the down train into the platform first.
Quite a good day between showers.

    Hi Steve.
Yes I did ask the platform staff, Of course, you didn't stop on the first up trip, I guess, like me, the platform staff were busy.
    Hope you weren't too cold!

Today's departure of the Class 50 at Harmans Cross.
I assume the coach and BV were removed at Corfe or Norden.
It also contrived to rain for about the 30 seconds it took for the train to pass and mess up my going away shot with a rain spot on the lens. IMG_0274.JPG
