Would think one of the Southern engines before the Scot. Having said that 46115 did brilliant on The Edinburgh Flyer last month.

Same goes for 2 other tours for RTC.
Bath and Gloucester steam express Feb 4 and the Cheshireman March 4.

45690 is listed as a visitor to the Keighley and Worth Valley gala at the start of March, so must be considered healthy. Also reports of a possible visit to the Lakeside and Haverthwaite railway if costs can be covered, for a Beet family loco get together.

That's a shame, hope there is another opportunity.

Didn’t think 46441 was ever in the picture for the charter as wasn’t it 45690 if enough tickets were sold ?

Not for the charters but it was explained to me that the owners wanted both 45690 and 46441 to visit the line for some private running but with the Class 2 not going to be be ready on time, 45690’s visit was pulled. As usual, don’t shoot the messenger.

That information is correct. The charter itself had enough booked on for it to run. 45690 and 46441 share the same owner, hence the desire to run both together before Leander is due for withdrawal for overhaul in early November 2023.

I believe Leanders boiler ticket runs out towards October so won't be possible unless they shut the railway

Feb 4 will take a DL as no path back to Southall from Paddington. Hope Feb 18 doesn’t as DL not needed unless load considered too much if it’s a 5

For some time RTT has had the timings for all the movements associated with 4th Feb except the return from Gloucester to Pad. Any thoughts as to why this might be. I (we) am on it so have an interest and it’s our wedding anniversary! I’m on this Saturday’s as well, any news on a loco’ yet. Neil
