Seem to be doing this a lot lately.
Also, I have to chuckle at the Coal Tank being classified as L&YR not LNWR.

Now says LNWR on my version, still, glad to see it made you chuckle.

I notice that 1054 is listed as part of the home fleet rather than a visitor. Is this correct? 1054 appeared at the last gala and, I think, the following weekend on the ELR, but it does not appear to have worked since on either the ELR or KWVR.

Just visiting, quite a long visit, 1054 remains in the custodianship of the Bahamas Locomotive Society and is based at Ingrow, Bahamas is also still on holiday at Southall...

Looks like the lads at Ingrow might be up to a bit of a clean up and tidy out with an empty house!!:D

Was the LYR not the dominant company at amalgamation? If so, the Coal Tank maybe (tongue in cheek) being latterly described as as assumptive L&YR locomotive? :D

Would be nice to see it at ANY enthusiast event. The KWVR don't seem to have any planned for the Autumn although it will be at another Railway Children do at the end of this month.

Both Companies were wound up and renamed as L&NWR from 01.01.1922. The original LNWR being designated as Division (1), the L&YR as Division (2).
Of the 20 new board members 6 were from the L&Y, and were elected into the top/key roles. All documented in several publications.
My comment was mirthful and tongue in cheek as stated.

If you look at some of the Furness Railway 0-6-0's that sneaked past nationalisation, Frankenstein (aka 2890), looks nearer to one of those and could get away with a number at the end of that sequence quite nicely.

Logical extension, different numbers each side like some of the preserved diesels get (re) numbered.
Bit difficult when you attempt a double header?

Looks more eastern region esque to me like a smaller version of a J38/9..... either way 2890 has proven to be a very useful engine since its return in 2017....

Could be mistaken for a standard 9F from a passing Pendolino going at full chat! Whatever, agreed it has been very useful.

Wow, I can't miss that - we really are being spoilt with good galas this year! I'll be at them 3 of the 4 weekends in October!
Anyone know which livery 957/52044 will appear in?
