Not seen a thread on this yet.

Mon/Wednesday saw an rare steam working over the West Highland Line for a private charter Helensburgh to Rannoch. Monday saw 45407 with 7 on, Helensburgh to Rannoch then ecs to FW. Wednesday saw 44871 with 6 on, ecs FW - Rannoch then with passengers Rannoch - Helensburgh.

The weather was better than forecast but nevertheless was dull at times. Wednesday saw a quite a bit of sun around - just not when the train passed me!

Some photos attached from Glen Falloch & Achallader on Monday and from Corrour & Glen Douglas on Wednesday. Corrour was reminiscent of the much loved and sorely missed WHL Photo charters, the only difference being that there were no other photters on Corrour yesterday. I was fortunate in being able to get the service train to and from Corrour then by car from Tulloch was able to catch it by Long Long.

Fantastic to see a steam working on this stunning piece of railway.

Good grief! Greenery at Corrour! All the pictures I've seen there before have been shades of purple and brown - or black-and-white
