    Interesting, wonder if it's provided any useful results?

    I don't see how it will give better energy retention than regen braking and a battery set. But that is the point of experiments after all

    Presumably if it is in a known NR-approved package it's that bit easier to move it round the network to accumulate testing data.

    If I remember, it was to investigate using that energy when the set moves off from a standing start which is when its at its least efficient and most carbon producing.
