Could argue that an A3 is a goods on the strength of photographs from their later years...

The return working of the engine off the ACE was a fitted freight to Nine Elms but then Pacifics worked the Scotch Goods.

Think it translates as this in your native tongue my friend, Mirakler oppnår vi hver dag, det umulige tar oss bare litt lengre tid.
My phone is now suffering a serious overload trying to translate my Black Country dialect into Norwegian ;):)

I am very sad to hear this news. One of my most formative experiences in my preservation career was the first time I met mark at Darlington Works, albeit briefly, during Tornado's emergence in 2008. Since then he and I have exchanged pleasantries and enjoyed conversations on all manner of LNER matters.

There would be no Tornado or Prince of Wales without Mark Allatt, and convenators to both locomotives should be grateful for his hard work and dedication throughout the years. From my end, thank you Mark. You helped make my late grandfather's dream - shared by so many - come true in the building of a new Peppercorn A1.

Is that from the A1 trust, or also matters concerning the P2?

I`ve also recieved this news. Sad news I think (if it`s correct of me to express it in that way ). He is really one of the pillar in the A1 Trust and the creating of no. 60163 "Tornado". A genius to create attention for this fantastic project that many said 'it will never happen'. It will be a task to fill his work. I wish him many happy years to come and to enjoy this fantastic interest,- the passion for steam locomotives!:)

Mark Allatt has been a huge presence in more ways than one. The fund-raising success of A1SLT owes a great deal to him and his connections. I hope his departure does not reflect a lack of cohesion amongst the trustees. Let's hope his legacy will remain, even if his presence has moved on.
