You remember correctly - it happened at least twice. I remember seeing it at the Shalford water stop, and on a separate day at Victoria.

So I've just seen the R.T.C. Bristolian tour with 60163 but that it cant make it to southall from Bristol for the steam dreams 18.11.2021 London kings X tour to york with 60163 as far as Doncaster is this still scheduled to have 60163 on the tour or 61306 in its place I do believe reading the R.T.C. Bristolian posts 60163 had a issue with one of the wheel tyres on the loco is this true would anyone know on nat pres?

Looking at Real Time Trains something arrives at Southall from Carnforth on Wednesday, guess 44871 as she does the other half of the South based Christmas trains this year. I am sure someone has a plan!

Apparently I've had a facebook message off steam dreams Admin saying that if tornado passes its F.T.R. tomorrow it will be moved from bristol to southall if the tyre on the wheel is fixable I will be let know tomorrow and so will other passengers travelling on the Kings X York steam dreams tour on thursday.

If it isn’t fixed by Sunday something will have to be done about the Rail Aid train. It’s too much of an ask to expect Clan Line to take over 500 tons up Martin Mill Bank from the Dover end unassisted.

I'd imagine Mayflower or 44871 will be roped in if Tornado is declared unfit

Diesel on the back is the obvious option

Is Mayflower air braked (albeit I suspect she is at least through piped)?

Neither will be roped in for the Pullman, they are not registered with DBC.

No air braking equipment of any sort on 61306.

Why would they? The easy solution is to put a diesel on the back for the climb to Martin Mill and let the best loco on the mainline do the rest. We are speculating here as we don't know how serious the problem is with Tornado.

And thus also anyone who is booked on the London kings X York ret tour 18.11.2021 who wanted to ride 60163 as a early seasons greeting and if not a keen enthusiast, passengers wont receive a refund from steam dreams admin or the choice of transfer of booking despite what the traction is on thurs that is what I was told this afternoon when ringing steam dreams booking enquiries so it's very unfair choice turn up at kings X and it's a diesel for the traction or steam dreams keep your booking fee as a no show of the passenger, cos it 60% 40% chance of been 60163 on the day unless the wheel flat can be turned in 3 days which I doubt.
