Did it keep time or not lose more time after a delayed (by NR) start? If the answer is yes then job done with the least sweat.

Noted on Cumbria Crack earlier, was the lineside fire between Appleby and Hellifield as reported anything to do with the Scot?

I understand that 6115 set fire to the countryside at Blea Moor today so perhaps being driven a bit too hard.

It never fails to amaze me to see folk announcing a fire started by which ever steam tour but who needs to know on the web as the powers that be know already so why advertise the fact . Only my opinion mind .

That's a tricky one. Nobody wants it to happen but it might and to know sometimes helps to explain if there are consequences.

Barely a hint of exhaust leaving Shotlock Tunnel northbound and passing Greengate on the return.

I don't think it's tricky at all, just like those who have in the past reported speeds that did not need reporting, it's better left unsaid.

Blea Moor isn't one of the usual places for lineside fires. Assume it was on the outward journey climbing away from the viaduct and can't have been that bad as the return was allowed to run steam hauled.

Weather forecast for the next few days is no bad thing if it comes true.
