Great to see 60103 working hard instead of being a show pony.

My footage of yesterday's Scotsman doings. Filmed at Culham and Jackdaws Bridge, on the climb up Sapperton Bank. Enjoy! :)

Have the timings for Saturday's White Rose to York been released yet?

Or are they embargoed due to it being Scotsman?

Not that I've seen. They tend to come out at the last minute so I wouldn't expect to see anything until tomorrow.

Doesn't seem to have left Tallington Jn. Was showing +35 approaching and no time for Stoke Jn.

Now showing +67 at Stoke Jn.

In no hurry to get to York, it seems. Such is what can happen on the ECML

Apparently ran short of steam and needed to stop to build up pressure.

With load 12 and a diesel return thought they'd have had a Tailgunner. For once one would have been useful.

Surprised they didn't keep on the rear / have it running behind for that reason. But alas, it was sitting in Hornsey on my train back from Hadley Wood

A very lacklustre departure from the water stop at Holme. Was hoping for something a tad more spirited.

In Claypole loop waiting for the Leeds to pass, and possibly the Bradford.

Has been held. 15 to the Edinburgh so should be let out - but wasn't. 20 min gap after to next York. Let out at 1209 after York Service.

60103 Holme.jpg Thought I'd try somewhere different but the weeds were a bit too tall for my liking and the light was rubbish anyway. 60103 pootling away from the Holme water stop.

At just under 5 hours for 125 miles to Carlton Loop not the most exhilarating of runs. Still I suspect most will be happy as it is FS.
