Can't remember if it's been mentioned on here already, but 7802's boiler ticket will also be reset to 10 years while the rest of the repair work is done (according to the EMF August newsletter).

Hagley Hall's boiler passed steam test earlier this week and is now ready to move back to Bridgnorth.

The boiler duly arrived on 17 December, pictures in the latest update on the Friends of Hagley Hall website.

Snow seems to be going in Bewdley according to my mum, I don’t know what it’s like elsewhere though.

Depending on which forecast you believe, there may be more tonight. Also the current stuff is very wet and slushy, and if it freezes as expected, it will be very icy.

Fair enough, it’s a bit rubbish when you think of everything else that’s happened this year.

I wouldn't like to try to drive down to Arley or Highley in those conditions. Not unless you want to end up in the Severn!

With effectively a complete lockdown in place from today, there will be no chance of witnessing these scenes for a while; so glad that I made it over to Highley yesterday........

Pannier 7714 reverses it's train out of the platform road at Highley..........

...and emits a serious volume of saturated steam.............

    SVR Highley 30-12-20 013 (853x1280).jpg

Goodbye 2020, 75069 departs Highley for Kidderminster.......

Happy New Year everyone, I do hope that things are eventually vastly better for 2021.

    Cheerz,

    Alan

Lovely photos! Is it a trick of the light, or is 75069's tender lining slanting forwards towards the cab?

    Richard.

Funnily enough, 7714 and 75069 were the very same locos on duty this time last year!

Are you sure? I remember it coming up on here or possibly the unofficial SVR Facebook page not long after it’s return to service and the one side had a slant on the tender lining when it returned to traffic after overhaul as seen in the picture.

I’m just being silly as ever Pete, maybe someone had a little too much in the Railwaymans before squinting and going ‘yeah that’s ok’
