    Very enjoyable.
    All pre-booked, allocated seats etc.
There was a glitch in the booking system when we booked, but it was all resolved.

Big train that seemed pretty full (up to coach L(?)), which made Green Goddess slither about where the line was under the trees, but we had a good run out towards Dungeness and back.

3 trains working which all looked pretty full. Had a nice chat with the friendly driver.

A nice day out, in spite of the horizontal rain at Dungeness.

Considering it's classed as desert, it does seem to get a good slice of rain...

The rain is usually horizontal at Dungeness so it does not hit the ground

Dungeness, has to be the bleakest place in Kent, possibly anywhere South of the Shetlands, did the plastic start to melt when the rain hit it I once parked my car at Dungeness in a rain storm, whilst fishing, by the power station, never seen a 2 headed fish before, when i got back my ford capri was covered in rust, that wasn't there before :)

I worked on the power station for nearly 40 years. I was told that the corrosive environment was worse than the North Sea. Even galvanised steel degraded quite quickly.

Wasn't that the great lottery of car bodywork back then... some last forever, some rotted the next day...
