    Hello there,
I was wondering what some of the longest intact (or mostly intact), but disused (or rarely used) train tracks/railroads around the world would be?
Are there some lines of great length that have been maintained, even though they're no longer used commercially?
I'm asking only for the sake of interest, but would love to know if anyone has any ideas.

    Cheers

Snap. Some years ago I followed a route in a coach from Santiago to Mendoza for several hours

I'm pretty sure I've seen lines in New England that haven't seen trains for a very long time!
