We did the 3/4 mile relay and more besides, but with a bit of help from some new faces. Always good to see.

If you fancy joining us, not just on the PWay, we would like to meet you.
The NYMR is holding another Volunteer day on Sunday 14th April at Pickering.
Reps from each department will be on hand to talk to you and answer any questions you may have about each dept.

This Sunday (28th April) is the Northampton and Lamport Railway New Volunteers Open Day. Its also 'Kids for a Quid' day, so why not bring the whole family! Trains running hourly from 11am to 4pm

We're always of any new volunteers. Why not come and see about joining the friendly team at our growing railway? Many opportunities available in all areas.

For more information, please check our website here: https://www.nlr.org.uk/

Can't make this Sunday? No problem! Simply either:

    Thanks :)

This film (filmed pre-lockdown but released just now) shows what life is like as a loco department volunteer on the Bluebell Railway.

Very good but it doesn’t warn about having to listen to Ian Wrights jokes!

    Very well made films.
Reminds me of my very first visit to another preserved railway (apart from "my own") in the summer of 1969.
    And this was Bluebell.
Spent a whole Sunday morning together with a volunteer guard of about my age, preparing the days train.
The first of many visits to UK preserved railways, where I have mostly felt so welcome.
Just asking one (initiated) question, and you are recognized as member of an international brotherhood.
