It will depend I expect on the number of bookings being made. After all this is only the first week of operating post lockdown.

VCT website cites high cost of repairs .... apparently they were deemed more useful as spare parts mines.

The MHR had recently lost it’s class 117 due to the owner selling it to the GWSR. The SDR offered the MHR the 127 as a replacement, free of charge, which they accepted. (An appeal raised the transport costs)

Soon after moving to the MHR it became apparent why it had been given away for free. The driving cars were heavily corroded and in need of extensive repairs, so the MHR decided to cut their losses and scrap them.

The centre car (actually a class 115 one) was in much better condition and retained by the MHR for a while with the intention of using it as loco hauled stock. This never happened and it was eventually sold back to the DSR.

I went yesterday with two friends. We all enjoyed the day with 7827 'Lydham Manor' doing the honours. Splendid scenery, a well organised operation with COVID 19 issues handled in a not heavy handed way, and lunch in a delightful historic town across the water. Must do it again!

I can't see any reference to it on their web site, just the ordinary river cruise. I guess the only way to find out would
be a phone call to them. Shame really as it is a lovely journey. Maybe it will run later?

If you go to book a train, go to Tuesday and there's trains every 35mins. 2 more services than a normal two train day!

That suggests good trade and with social distancing extra trains are needed. As it appears that none of the intermediate stops are being made it allows for those extra. At least it helps keep the wolf from the door!
