Looks like there is no movement on Riley's Black 5 movement from the East Lancs Railway through to Carnforth Steamtown. Is anybody able to confirm whether it's running or not?

A 2 hour activation on RTT often means it doesn't run so no guarantee it will move today.Keep checking RTT !

Okay, thanks for that info Ribble and 46233, I'll keep watching! Luckily I live in Carnforth, so it won't be a mad dash if it does move

You wait three months for steam to return to the mainline and what happens, it rains!! No. 45407 'The Lancashire Fusilier' nearing Carnforth to join its fellow
'Jacobite' companions ready for the run up to Fort Bill. Nice touch on the smokebox remembering Mr. John Fletcher and interesting coach behind the tender.

In memory of former lostock hall fireman and NYMR driver John Fletcher. Fletch used to fire 45407 during BR days.

Indeed he was on 45407 one day during the last week of steam operation when he and his mate were accompanied by a leggy, mini skirted cub reoporter from the Liverpool Echo. Her name - Anne Robinson (remember the weakest link?). A few days later his last firing turn was on 44871 on one of the specials on Sunday 4th August. Being Fletch, he told elaborate stories about both occasions.

Is the coach going to Carnforth for refurbishment, mainline certification or something else?
