Sorry, but I fail to find any logic in that idea, however hard I look.
    :Saywhat:

The WSR has working locos and carriages, it's just - apparently -rather short of money.

The S&DRT has two locomotives (53808 + Kilmersdon) and one working 6-wheeled coach - what sort of service could they provide with that? Having spent so many years restoring Coach 4, why would they then want to potentially run it into the ground with no guarantee that it will lead to their eventual 'redemption' in the eyes of the Plc? Who on earth would knowingly run a steam engine until its water ran out, with all the risk of severe damage that might arise?

You know they say that if you put a hundred monkeys in a room with a keyboard they will eventually come up with something intelligent. This is evidence that this isn’t true.

@Andy Norman - were there any plans to involve the S&DRT in the schools visits connected to Hinkley Point C? Burnham on Sea being quite close to Hinkley and the Burnham signal box being at Washford?

If anyone is interested, quite a lot of other companies are registered at 34 Boulevard, Western Super Mare...

    Can anyone spot the connection?

So an interesting question would be whether Fifty Four limited are paid for their role. But also why the chairman chooses to list a different correspondence address as chairman to his correspondence address for almost all of his other businesses but that Fifty Four seem to have the same correspondence address as all of the chairman's other businesses.

I know nothing about business but is this normal practice?

It can be yes. Companies are required to have a registered address at which they can be contacted and official documents served. It can well make sense to do centralise this in a large group of companies or if a number of companies are effectively run by a group of people, or as in this case, company secretarial services are provided out of one address.

Yes, very common for smaller companies to use their accountant to provide secretarial services, and for directors correspondence to be sent to their address. No conspiracy here, I am afraid.

It seems that the arrangement for WSR Directors is for their addresses to be given as Minehead Station, so for his WSR directorship that is the address given.

Is it common for the accountant/secretary to share the same address as the chairman? And to not make that connection clear?
