5Z57 on the move, heading towards Lancaster. The only apparent choices for it to go are Copy Pit or via Clitheroe with a reversal at Hellifield. Time will tell and good luck to the WCRC crews on a truly horrid night.

A look on Traksy last showed the ECS passing through Bamber Bridge; that was about an hour ago.

Yes, I believe it has been through Clitheroe.

Update: Just popped up at Gargrave 58 late.

If you're out on the lineside tomorrow, take care, looking at various posts on Facebook for the dales, there's alot of flooding around, at the present time you can't get through Horton by road, and the river's over the road by the junction at Ribblehead.

Was planning on going over, but I'm going to be giving it a miss.

I'm bloody sick of this month.

Me too, if there was ever a perfect day to 'do a Winskill'...today is it. Good luck to any of you brave enough to venture out to record the day.

Went down to Cononley to watch her go by. Going fairly slowly recovering from signal checks.Bright sunshine but VERY cold and windy. Roads and fields (flood plain) flooded even down here. I was cold even with several layers on, cannot imagine what it is like further along the line. More rain forecast as well so anyone who does venture out along the S&C is a very brave soul indeed.

My pic at Carlisle no tail gunner this time although speed restrictions in place judging by how slow we were going through Helwith bridge. 20200222_124703.jpg

Crossing the swollen River Aire near Gargrave.

    upload_2020-2-22_13-0-2.jpeg

Having driven through three lots of floodwater before being forced to turn back and find an alternative route due to more of the same, I was lucky to get here in time. Not so lucky with the sun, though...

With the road apparently still blocked by floodwater at Horton, I decided it was time to "do a half-Winskill" and head back home.

To 'do a Winskill' is not to go at all. So I guess you could say you did a 'half-Winskill.' :D Nice shot btw!

Totally agree, great shot in the circumstances. Really unlucky with the sun, it shows how fast the wind is blowing in the clouds and (more!) rain.

Nice shot. Hope your trip isn't too lonely with your brother bailing out. Also hope he knows he owes you £150 by the look of it!
