Currently on Carriage Exchange, an LNER box van, ex ROF Glascoed. Asking price £3900.

    - Edit - Information implies it is this vehicle, currently located on the GWSR.

Seems a bit much to me for an unfitted vehicle? Does come with the wood to finish it off though.

The ad says LNER number unknown. In fact it never had one. We have two from this series on the GCR and I have somewhere (but not to hand immediately) some further data on these, including original running numbers. If the eventual purchaser wants to drop me a PM I will dig this out.

Been there a while she has. Hope she finds a buyer at some point, but I suppose with her limited practical use she’s not a priority loco.

Maybe if I sell my few wagons I’ll have enough for a few tubes for her...?

The Trust have put Austin No1 up for sale (as spoken of elsewhere). But nothing else has been advertised for sale...

There's a thread in this section where they've mentioned some tankers and ex-RNAD pipe wagons for sale. Not sure if they've gone yet though?

We have sold one tank wagon and one short wheelbase underframe. We have several tank wagons and ex-tank wagon underframes plus two ex- RNAD pipe wagons available. We have too many surplus goods wagons cluttering our sidings, many of which have reached the eyesore stage. Our tree-cutting squad have done a fantastic job over recent weekends, and this linked with tidying of surplus stock, gives a better presentation to our customers.
This year's visitors will also see that our signal boxes at Llangollen and Glyndyfrdwy have had full re-paints, with Carrog box to be done in the Spring, then Deeside Loop box to follow. The extension to Corwen will open as soon as the weather allows the platform paving to be laid.

Kitson 'Austin 1' together with 'Jennifer' are both available for hire. They have both had recent overhauls and undergone loaded test runs recently.
The 'Foxcote Manor' group intend to run 'Austin 1' on passenger trains one weekend mid-March.

To sell off Austin number 1 is surely morally wrong given how it became the Railways in the first place and subsequently is a trust assett

The post above yours says it is available for hire - which is not the same as for sale?

According to the Railway Herald the railway has been "saved" by an anonymous donor, so perhaps it won't have to be sold. But, if it was, I can't really see why it would be "morally wrong" just because it was the first engine acquired by the Flint & Deeside RPS, as it was then. It has no local connections or significance and spends most of its time elsewhere and is a distraction from running the LR. I wonder too whether the hire fees cover much more than the cost of repairs and admin and if that is the case it should be seen as a liability rather than an asset.

What I believe to be an Insulated Meat Van has been listed for sale on Carriage Exchange along with a Tube Wagon. Former £2100+VAT, latter £1500+VAT. Both in need of restoration.

The meat van - B872042 - is I believe unique, so really needs a loving owner. But looking at the state of it on the wagon survey page, I feel that the price is a tad optimistic! Maybe knock a zero off?
