I see a model of 92212 is part of Hornby's 1:1 Collection for this year. I watched the Hornby Magazine's YouTube video on the new range and it's mentioned that 92212 will at some point be moving to Margate to join 45379 and 4464 in storage.

It's currently showing normal services from the 15th onwards - I'm guessing details of the events on the 14th haven't been finalized yet.

Although it looks like the diner and one of the two service trains are already sold out...

Amazing. Gordon's brother still has a big appeal.

Reading SR magazine today. I see there’s an advert for the Autumn steam gala 16th to 18th October.

Good to see Scotsman sell out, going to be a busy time when she visits.
In other news the power coach of the Hampshire Unit is in the C&W shop currently having bodywork repairs, good to see it being done

Yesterday, atop the hill saw the resumption of hostilities with the troublesome trucks by the Saturday gang, and yet again the weather was nothing like what was forecast - it was overcast with mizzle & a biting wind that didn't relent all day!

Still, with a strong turn out of hardy souls, there was a three pronged attack, with progress being made on the underside of the Maroon CCT, and hopefully on the GPV the final areas of steel plate have now been replaced and whilst all this was being undertaken two of us escaped up to the Meon to see what state some vehicles were in, so that we know what to expect when we're charged with getting them operational.

A good day all round despite the weather, with much banter & not a lot of tea/coffee drinking!

All the trains for which 60103 is rostered are fully booked, which is good news. But what about the other trains running on those days? Can one still turn up and buy a ticket for those, are those all fully booked as well?

I'd be just as happy to ride behind an S15 or a Schools.

The FS events, stations and feeder trains from car parks at Swanage were restricted to full tickets. With crowd control. I expect the same will be at Mid Hants
However they did have FS on display at Corfe for standard ticket holders.
There does not seem to be any stsndard trains for the half term week. So maybe something might be arranged?
Notice the railway is on ch4 tonight

I am glad to see the railway doing well here, but I will be even gladder if all the spectators lining the fields and paths along the way stumped up a pound into a collection box to contribute to the cost of running the trains. I know everyone claims they contribute in "other ways" but I hope MHRPS members go round the bridges and paths rattling a tin for a bob or two from those who just watch for free.

I hope our farmer neighbours screw a few quid out of them. Probably won't happen, but they must get fed up with the trespassers.

There are lots of places along the line that you can get a great photo without trespassing.

Personally I have always found that for non-lineside-pass-holders the MHR is a bit limited for photography, except in the station areas. Am I missing something?

I guess that if you arrive by car and know the area well there are good places along the line for photography, but if you want to travel and photograph you are limited to the station areas.

A lot of "trainspotters" without tickets may not know the area and end up unwittingly trespassing or in dangerous locations?

And a lot of "trainspotters" know they are trespassing but still do it anyway.
