I'm sure I saw a report of this loco leaving the WSR recently, but does anyone know where it has moved to?

I'm pretty sure it hasn't left yet. If you access the Minehead station webcam, you can see its tender in the headshunt by the signal box.

I thought that one was a spare 44422 tender was until a couple of weeks ago in a siding opposite the headshunt.

Is it just a temporary move? I was under the impression it was based there on a very long term agreement

I think the agreement was cancelled as part of the WSR cost savings

Wonder if the NNR would be interested in hiring another Midland locomotive.

Especially one of a type that used to run on the M&GN.

Asfar as I know, the WSR PLC, have said that they were no longer able to support the maintenance of the locomotive.

Remember this engine is a non runner and it is reputed £200 K needs to be spent on it to get it running again/before the 10 year ticket is up (over 3 years are gone for this) with cracks between every spoke on all three wheel sets what need to be sorted out as well as all the other work on the running gear.
