GWR oil lamps were painted red prior to 1936 when they changed to white ones.

Yes 25185 is currently parked by the back of the signal box, by the looks of it a MK1 coach has also arrived and things are happening in the cab of the Hall

Wave out of the right side as you pass under the bridge at Williton!

I think Colin was referring to what was arriving on the low loader. But I hope you enjoy your trip.

I wonder if your knowledge of project management and fixing steam locomotives is as extensive as your grasp of sarcasm. Perhaps you would care to share some of your successes in the field with the assembled congregation?
    Best regards

Not wishing to be in the least bit sarcastic or critical but genuinely interested, a while ago I suggested that the WSR had made a mistake in allowing 5542 to become "consciously decoupled" from the WSR and was told on here that it was because it was too small for the traffic on offer nowadays, particularly in terms of water capacity and this was another reason for some agonising over the WSRA continuing to spend on 4561, which has even less capacity. How then does this square with the decision to hire in the pannier tank and does it suggest that there is in fact a place for small engines on the WSR - and would it be worth investing in an additional watering point somewhere in the largest gap to allow for some additional safety margin?

I wonder if the same low loader is taking 6960 to SVR and returning with 7802?

I hope 6960 is able to return to the West Somerset Railway before too long. She has been a very reliable and popular locomotive, with both crews and passengers.

Having said that, I am very happy to welcome another Manor to the line.
