Well can I suggest that you first of all take note of what the A1ST has said. When the loco carries out its positioning move you will know it has been fixed. Until then why not just wait like everyone else rather than filling up threads with questions all the time?

Sorry but I don't share the charitable view of @henrywinskill in respect of posts that fill up space, in which there is actually a certain irony.

Like i say engineering can go wrong at anytime and dosent care about who has to repair the loco and if its scheduled for a roster.

The A1 Trust are reporting on their FB page that repairs are complete, and 60163 will move to Tyne Yard on the 9th. Well done to all concerned.

Only thing I can't understand with the positioning move for tomorrow is, if tornado is going over copy pit via Golborne jct westbound to Chester on the mad hatter why not eastbound over Copy Pit via Castleford and York, is it because of pathing with northern services on that route rather than going the long way round?

Going the long way round ensures that Tornado is facing south ready for Saturday, going via Copy Pit would mean the loco would need to be turned.

This is the one, a Kingfisher promoted run. An old favourite.

And pathing is probably a lot easier than trying to fit in either through or round Leeds.

I'd forgotten about that trip. I photted it at Chinley then caught a service train to Sheffield and joined the tour there for the run to Keighley. I asked the stewards and Roger Hardingham several times about a ticket, no one ever bothered coming back to me about a fare. New track, free ride!

Tornado now at Darlington & the ECS approaching Tollerton some 20E. I see that the loco bringing the ECS is booked to move back to York LE after the tour departs, so I suspect that this will be the traction for York - North Road this evening.

At Castle Hills Junction - I almost hesitate to post for obvious reasons, but that is how it was!

Nice shot. Look at the WTT times in the left hand column, they're what's planned. The right hand column is what RTT automatically thinks will happen, or what has happened. So there's a 30 minute stop at York on the return for loco change. If in doubt, I'm sure @sgthompson or @iancawthorne will confirm!

Indeed, I had the misfortune to get involved with Kingfisher and Mr Hardingham, and a cancelled trip. I did eventually get my money back after a struggle, I believe others were not so lucky..
