Steam trains, or no steam trains, I have had enough of the winter; whilst it has not been not very cold here there always seems to be a cold wind. (but I do live on a headland). So a nice warm - not too hot - and dry summer will suit me fine. I have a small garden railway that helps keep my interest in railways.

Was looking forward to seeing 7752 is LT livery but seems to be going green :(

Yes, it is reported in the new issue of Heritage Railway (out tomorrow) that 7752 will be repainted in GWR livery after arriving at Minehead.

Anyone feeling generous as it is also reported that 9466 is for sale. Ideal loco for the WSR at the moment....

Worth bearing in mind that the 94xx type is surprisingly heavy for its size - axle loading is 19 tons 5 cwt.

:( So by the October there will be no operational Pannier Tanks in LT livery as L92 gets repainted after its loan to Chinnor finishes. :(

    Needs money for track upgrades.
Has money for a pigment change on a loco.

Need to get your priorities right me thinks.

Repairs and repaint on 7752 is being paid for by its owner not WSR.

I am glad I saw L92 recently at the DSR. Having seen many green painted panniers the LT colours were a great change.

image.jpeg I rather like @Corbs' livery on this one, a Pannier gets a repaint, is it really that big a deal?

And you can get from somewhere to somewhere quickly. Swanage and Corfe/Norden are obvious 'hubs' for short steam trips.

Need to get a change of attitude me thinks.

(Given that this is an owner expense.)

Is it? No doubt it was worked into the price of the hire so the PLC is paying itself fo the re-paint.

Exactly, Not exactly having your priorities right, paying to hire a loco and have it repainted also.
