Not brilliant but passing Castle Hills, Northallerton - will be getting a little 'wash and brush up' before tomorrow, no doubt!

All tucked in at Doncaster. Sincerely hope there are no issues from today's positioning move and that the loco is in great nick for tomorrows train. Good luck to the A1 support team :)

Nice one Shep! Put's me in mind of Bank Holidays in the early-mid sixties when we'd spot a B1 or two going under the bridge on the opposite bank with Yorkshire - Morecambe excursion traffic. Happy days :)

My quick record shot from Hartford. Notice the clever angle thus making the 33 virtually invisible... :D

Passing Madeley on the climb out of Crewe. I suspect the 33 was doing most of the work here.

Now a question for the knowledgable amongst you.
Below the number on the buffer beam is stencilled IP WCH - a short form of Ipswich for the loco's allocation ( the saving of the cost two letters must have been critical ), not that it appears to have been anywhere other than Hull until moving to Low Moor in 1967. Anyway above the number is 'L5' - can someone explain what that is ?
