Durham to Berwick in 83 min for 81 miles. Not quite even time but there was the small matter of Newcastle to get through.

And as my sailing friend would say..."Nothing broke and nothing fell off" !

Yes some smart running, cruising in low - mid 70s. Inside even time from Durham before Tweedmouth slowing.

Newcastle - Berwick Sta 63 m 08s pass to pass for the 67 or so miles.

Longhoughton bank taken in its stride, min 66 after 73 thro Alnmouth.

Looks like train booked to overtake us at Grantshouse cancelled?

Tornado seems to be held at a red signal just before Drem, and the Deltic just 1 section behind. Possibilty of attaching the Deltic on the back now?

    Edit:
Just seen the stopper from Berwick been let out in front of Tornado. Reminds me of the Top Gear run.
