A great day seeing a green Jubilee back on the S&C at long last. Weather conditions on the northbound run were "challenging" but I'm glad I took on the drive from Selside to Lazonby. With guidance from Gordon Edgar I discovered a new spot for me at Howes and Co sidings where the sun tried hard to appear. Also a very pleasant lunch with some other seriously experienced photographers at Cumwhinton was excellent. Roll on next Saturday!

Images below from Gargrave, Selside, Lazonby and Howes and Co sidings ...

Some lovely shots posted here so far.

Firstly before I plug my vid can I just say thank you to everyone that has helped bring 45596 back to the main line, the run today has to be up there with some of the best debuts after such a long absence,at least from the lineside she didn't appear to miss a beat. Stunning.

We were able to get 4 shots today, this morning at Selside was a bit rough but thankfully it calmed down for our following views at Langwathby,Kirkby Stephen and Cononley near Skipton.

    Vid at:

    Thanks again,
    Mark

Nice shots but it's a pity that the sound on the third shot was spoiled by someone firing off a salvo on their still camera

Superb video. I was the "third man" arriving at Cononley, (not the geezer who wandered up late and seemed oblivious to being in shot until advised otherwise!). Bahamas looked and sounded superb and your video has captured an unforgettable moment. I agree 100% with your thoughts about those who have made this possible. Same again next week hopefully.

LMS Jubilee 45596 Bahamas Blea Moor Cutting nat press.jpg

A shot from the northbound run and I opted for the safety of Blea Moor cutting with that WSW wind yesterday. Difficult getting up here with that 30mph cross wind and torrents of water running off the fells along the paths. Well worth the walk up though a great sight and sound in the cutting. Thanks to everyone who braved the cold and wind yesterday for sharing their output in this thread. I did get up early intending to head out, but took one look at the S and C railcams and thought 'nah!' So I chickened out and did a 'Winskill!'
