If tyseleys engineers can find which axlebox did run hot how long would it take em to roll out the set of damaged driver wheels thats aft they have to hoist her up and take the con rods off and eccentrics and check the axlebox if any damage occured or was it just trackside equip playing up or this this rumour just assumed and maybe the tyseley lads dont have coaching stock otherwise is bahamas penciled in to run tomorrow to lecester of any1 sees owt about 45596

    Peppercorn A1 60163 at Newark Northgate fb.jpg
Great to see the A1 back on the mainline last night. 60163 going well through Newark Northgate with the Orton Mere-Doncaster light engine move. The wonderful Victorain station clock on platform 1 informs us 60163 went through at 9.38 pm running seven minutes behind schedule. Opted for a 'going away' shot with it being only loco + support coach.

Tomorrow’s run may be cancelled according to BLS. Apparently TPWS issues and a warm driving wheel axle box to attend to. However best to keep an eye on RTT etc.

Lets see fingers crossed if not tomorrow maybe n, week or this w,end if like i said in a post previous galatea 45699 had problems running her in from barry scrap condition but once it got run in a few 100 odd miles and the crossheads ,bigends checked and fettled that jube as been fi ne since 2013 up to now if the crews dont run the engines too fast they wear themselves in as long as the bearings dont white metal.

    hello
regards the test run tomorrow the message i have received is as follows
There were some TPWS issues on the way back and the Fireman’s side rear axle warmed up for some reason on the way back from Stratford despite being perfectly ok since September. Thus to be on the safe side the loaded test tomorrow will be rearranged.
    regards

I've had the same message, there were delays with the contractor who fitted the TPWS otherwise this would have been sorted a few weeks ago. Having said that the run is still live on RTT

Depends what is actually wrong I suppose but to drop a wheel and remetal a bearing overnight is a big ask although it has been done before. The clock is ticking and I think they will want to get as much running in done on the KWVR as soon as possible.

BLS released a statement last night on Facebook at 22:00. It's being rescheduled due to said TPWS issues and the fireman's side rear driving axlebox running warm and needing rectifying.

Spotted this in today’s schedules, I’m assuming it’s route learning and probably not steam but interesting to see LSL showing up as it’s own TOC and intriguing to know what it will be as I can’t see any tours scheduled down this way in the near future, anybody any ideas?

Might be something going for repainting? Or, if it is a route learning train, I suspect Arlington's is a cheaper place to stable in overnight.

    Regards,

    Dan
