Disappointing to see this at Brookwood. Why does this man have to sit on the ramp and over the yellow line? Is the photo really any better? Worth bringing us all into slightly greater disrepute? Sad.

Not this time - I had to dash across to catch a train back. I can predict the answer anyway - those thoughtless/ignorant enough to do this in the first place won't take kindly to being corrected - "it's only a little bit and no-one cares about it anyway, etc, etc.".

Thanks, I have to admit I like the Earl as well - if I had to pick my best steam photos, it would include one of the Earl, and this one of Clan Line

Very fine shot. The attached above was at Brookwood, where 35028 crossed to the fast on the down end crossover and roared away superbly towards you.

Going like the clappers just outside Tisbury. Not overly impressed with my video, but, at least it makes for an alright still, when edited.

Thaks - that's a stunning shot at Brookwood. I did consider going there but opted for an angle at Farnborough that I have not tried before

What did they do at Selhurst, bang the tender back into shape?

It was a morning of options for me. At Guildford (from Dorking) I could have stayed on the Reading train and gone to Farnborough, but I opted for Woking, then Brookwood when I saw on RTT that my 1 minute 'connection' at Woking had increased owing to a failed train in p5 there. Sadly, the huge mess at Woking put the steam onto the slow as far as Brookwood. While I am happy with the sequence of shots I got, at Farnborough I would have had it on the fast line - far less common for steam down the SWML.

Rather uninspiring image from Stowell (west of Templecombe) just before the heavens opened. IMG_0508a.jpg

May I just point out that your video title has 35018, whereas it is actually 35028.

    You're too modest - it's a fine shot.

Hadn't really been following this thread or looking at timings, so it was quite a surprise to get off the train from work and see this sight right in front of me:

The loco really is a credit to the MNLPS - three quarters through a long day in grimy winter weather and she still looked absolutely immaculate with all the paintwork clean, the copper gleaming and even the discs still glistening white.

Great to see Clan Line back at Yeovil Junction today and hope some videos/photos will be forthcoming. Good to see the Support Coach being turned by hand as an add-on to the loco turn and the small Rushton busy assisting with the on site movements. All part of a good day out for the locals and volunteers. Without the facilities at Yeovil Junction this trip would never have been possible.
