Well they're off 40 late and reached London Road Jct...…

I'm guessing that it was single line working this morning then they closed the line to do whatever they needed to with the freight and they've just reopened the line now. The 1619 from Carlisle started at Appleby.

Isn’t letting the track cleaner go first a good decision, getting some nasty leaf fall off the rails especially with few trains running ahead of it.

hmm, I follow that logic to the point that says 40mph is possible in front of a rail cleaner but not from behind it....whilst cleaning I have observed these trains making much less than 40mph...I rest my case your honor ! .
passed Ribblehead 20.04 120 mins latel, surely the result of being behind an on duty RHTT Train....
Twas 122 late at Blea Moor...

Anybody know whether it's the 47 or 37 leading the return to Bedford?

My shot of 48151 passing Greenholme this afternoon. Thanks for the updates on here, and also to Leon (Noelist) for the text messages.

Great video Stephen, wish I'd gone to Kirkby Stephen, however I was stumbling about at Ribblehead until 18:30 hoping for a silhouette,at which point I decided the light wasn't up to much anyway,so I went to photograph the 37 failing at Hellifield!

Two hours late at Ribblehead, only 44 minutes late at Bedford. Original schedule too easy, or fewer other trains in the way late at night?
