James, most of us do appreciate your input from the sharp end and would be grateful if you ignored only those that seem to always want to have the last say but continue with your informative comments for the benefit of the rest of us

I am not sure exactly which speculation you are attributing to me particularly in this case James but thanks for making things clear. Not trading semantics with you about sharing information or not, as I've said it is your business and I respect your rights but your "not saying anything" results in harmless tittle tattle on here, whether mine or any number of others. Up to you whether you want intervene but the forum would be poorer without your honest insights.

Suppose I should just stay quiet on the naughty step for having spoken out of turn to an elder / better? Never been good at that, sorry.

Apology accepted but it is never too late to learn though is it? And the past 10 or so posts together with those that have been 'liked' and those that have not seem to form the best advice on that.

Could the problem be related to those seeking the information ?

Whilst Mr Shuttleworth often appears on sites giving steam-related information on behalf of WCRC that he feels relevant - rather than trying to answer every question raised by posters - on another website forum the diesel team at Carnforth willingly respond to requests concerning diesel operation and train running. This is not to decry any postings from Mr Shuttleworth but, given that a relationship between requester for, and provider of, information is a two-way affair, I wonder if a question of respect may be the difference ?

Most insightful Fred. To be clear I have no expectations and make no demands of James / WC. Of course I would be as interested as anyone to be able to hear news of their activities directly but as I have said repeatedly, its their business.
In this matter, to my mind the information imparted about 45596s impending activities was not particularly WCs to share first. Given their general silence on in-house steam matters and James' periodic complaints about people speculating on their activity, it struck me as a bit rich and I said so - sorry but there you have it. On reflection, perhaps unnecessary.
As regards mutual respect, I couldn't fail to be aware of my standing with James and he has kindly pointed out I am a non-entity in terms of his domain - happy to concur with that. We were very loosely acquainted via ELR many moons ago, long before his pioneering role with WC but there is no other "history" at all, sorry to disappoint the more excitable readers out there.
Now, shall we return to the real subject of the thread?

Oops. Perhaps a bit unfair. The video is far too long, but with a bit (lot!) of editing it could be a reasonable record of the event.

At-least my video's arent around 1hr-2hrs in length now like LFC35028 who still does, im trying to keep the length down but im also trying to make them interesting rather than being dull and short. With on-board railtour videos im also not filming when at the back as much now, Im also trying to get around the wind noise issue which you might or should be able to notice in this video as again iv covered over the microphone.

You’ve got some good footage there. However, to make a video that will keep viewers interested you need to seriously reduce the length. I reckon you’ve got enough footage there for a decent video of around 5 minutes.

No no, please don't do that, your posts are always welcome.

As for 26_DM...............stop digging, you're in a hole with this matter and you're causing trouble. Accept the fact like a man and move on.
