Do you mean the 70000 loco society? I think it was removed during its overhaul during the early nineties. Then reinstated during 70000's last overhaul.

It was fitted for air braked trains whilst at NVR, under the ownership of Rick Edmonson (RESCO) but removed during overhaul at Carnforth for running 1991 onwards. Sold to Pete Waterman subsequently, languished at Crewe until bought by current owners who installed a full air brake system during overhaul.
If no boiler work has been done during the stoppage, it must be due soon?

Looking back her inaugural return to the mainline was in April 2011 so unless an interim retube was carried out she's out of ticket for the mainline.

The UkSteam info website says that she was ML certified in 2010. She also had her ML test runs from Carnforth at the end of 2010. Like you say, unless she has had some boiler work done for ML certification she can only operate on Heritage lines until 2020?

I've photographed Britannia and ridden behind her and I didn't notice the pump- I had to look at my pictures just now to see that it was there! It really is quite discreet when the deflectors are in place.

Not sure Carnforth was reached due to a snag, at least no loaded test ran from there, that was done later down to Shrewsbury etc IIRC. 70000 did work a royal train in early 2011 from Preston to Wakefield (?) whilst painted black though.

Royal train duty was on 24/01/2012 when HRH Prince Charles was reportedly on the footplate - taking his turn on the regulator during the journey from Preston to Wakefield.

The locomotive was stopped in 2013 due to problems with the quality of the copper used to make the firebox stays I wonder if the ticket was restarted after these works?

Quite right about the test run. I had intended to write it was from Crewe to Carnforth but the tapatalk version of this forum was giving me really serious problems last night and I just gave up with it before I threw my phone out of the window!
I couldn't see any new postings on the threads and it kept giving me old notifications from days ago as new notifications. I also wanted to edit my post but it just wouldn't accept it. I have also noticed that a post I made in the Bluebell Giants of Steam Gala thread has not appeared today either. Anyone else been having problems with Tapatalk?

I don't use Tapatalk but I am having many problems with this site. It's bad enough reading posts but actually typing one is ridiculous.

    Thanks for replying.
I will try tapatalk again tonight to see if it is working. It packed up completely last night. Everything else on my phone was working okay.

Sometimes I find Tapatalk logs you out but fails to tell you you're logged out, so you don't jump to 'new' posts and can't post. Check your settings.

For some reason on Tapatalk view "new posts" or "unread" isn't working, but "subscribed" is, most odd. Last night whilst on my laptop on Natpres (with Adblock) my laptop was very slow then packed up completely, haven't had anything out of since. Not a happy bunny - although that may be a coincidence.
