D213 has just departed from Crewe en route to Telford with it's loaded test run.
    Consist: 4 Mk 2s + 4 Mk 1s + 47.805 at the rear.

I viewed the train on the Crewe Railcam. Someone managed to film the train with the Railcam using a long zoom back and pan. Very clever. <BJ>

My shot of D213 on its first test run for Locomotive services (Saphos) in readiness for its railtour duties later in the year, here it runs down grade on the single line down slow from Searchlight lane Junction where it is about to join the west coast main line at Heamies Farm between Stafford and Crewe with the 5Z91 12.42 Telford to Crewe leg of its round trip from Crewe via Chester and Shrewsbury.

I'm out of my usual region, however as I popped over to the S&C to see today's Dalesman, it would have been rude not to see Andania as well. (Ribblehead)

Looks okay. I have a couple D2xx/D3xx on my layout.
Curious, I thought window hanging was banned. Not on this evidence. Maybe one rule for steam and another for diesels.

Exactly what I was thinking. You would think that Saphos/LSL, as a new TOC establishing themselves would wish to be seen as "whiter than white" on this and would have clamped down hard on it, given that we are often told that window-hanging on railtours is a major concern to senior people at NR .

Haven't diesel fans always been a law to themselves?

It was D1733 on the back which I believe has also been numbered as 47141 and 47614 - was it at some point also 47853?
