Well the vintage set is due to be used both Saturday and Sunday of this weekend. There is a supplement for coach 353, but I can't remember what it is.

    Edit:
There is a five pound supplement for riding in coach 353

Thanks for that. Unfortunately I was not able to make it this weekend. Hopefully it's in use over the next few weekends, when I can.

    Monkeys and typewriters.

Every once in a while I manage to snap a photo that I think ‘says’ something about Railway heritage.

    Yesterday evening in Kent...

And this saves the moderation team from saying anything. So thank you Paul. :)

  14. PH, you are very well-known here as a forum 'character' and it's something that you play up to time after time. It smacks of more than a little hypocrisy when you are happy to to be stridently outspoken when it suits you but, equally, very conveniently start using the excuse of some person we *might* offend when people gently tweak your tail first. Your reaction is really nothing to do with anyone who *may* have epilepsy and all about what seems more a state of not liking someone else to gently tease you in relation to your outspoken opinions.

Come on, man up a bit.

I think that’s a good point to draw a line in the sand and get back on topic please. If you wish to continue the conversations going you are welcome to use the pm system but let’s get this thread back onto the subject of the KESR.

I am mystified. One can have a fit of rage, idiocy, indignation, laughter etc. It just means a short episode. There is no connection whatsoever with epilepsy in this context.

Mystified by this entire collection of comments on a picture showing a hardworking volunteer cleaning a beautifully restored artifact.

I have said it before, we are in the theatre business. The point is to create a cohesive and consistent look. The loose cable is indeed usually out of sight I would think, and the modern profile roof is in fact readily overlooked. It could be better, but you need to balance the expense and effort. KESR seem to be doing a reasonable job here to my eye.
