To be fair, it's not always immediately obvious at a casual glance. Search engines can also have a habit of returning some randomly specific single page, which gets irritating.

My own M.O is to bookmark the desired page, once located. That usually works!

    Indeed they do,

"Lynton & Barnstaple" is an official L&B Facebook Page, https://www.facebook.com/Lynton.Barnstaple/
"Lynton and Barnstaple" is an L&B community group. https://www.facebook.com/groups/lyntonandbarnstaple/

This two-pronged approach to Facebook is quite common for public-facing companies and organisations seeking to embrace social media.
Each has links to the other. In most regards, it seems to work well

No sign of a thaw where I live, but they've got the Cat & Fiddle Road (Buxton to Macclesfield) open today - and Northern Trains say the Buxton to Manchester line is open; first break-throughs since Wednesday.

A fellow buxtoner! Natpres has gone up in my estimations ;), yes, indeed, seems like things ground to a halt round here for 4-5 days, you should've seen the buxton speedway/earl sterndale road, if it still existed that is, I wouldn't know, I couldn't see the dry stone walls either side of it, and the fog was pretty intense too, reminded me of the revenant film. Pretty crazy how quickly its melting today too, a very freak weather system it was, certainly lived up to the 'beast from the east' hype that the media spouted, which is unusual for them. Usually they over exaggerate to the nth degree.

Yep - Friday and Saturday was a pea-souper here, and I remember seeing a road like that about 6 - 7 years ago. I went down to see some friends in the Staffordshire Moorlands, and driving through a slot cut by farmers with diggers along the middle of the road, with the snow on each side higher than the the roof of my Land Rover. After half a mile, I went over a small rise, and all I could see in front of me was a smooth and unbroken expanse of snow; walls, hedges, fences, gates all buried, and no idea where the road was! No room to turn, so I had to reverse right back to the first farm entrance.

Glad to see that the thaw has reached Exmoor, though, so the L & B team can get cracking again! :)

    Best regards,

    John

May good fortune be with all of you at the meeting today. Thoughts are with you.

    Now, soldiers, march away
And how thou pleasest, God, dispose the day.

May sanity prevail and ..... with everything crossed ..... best of good fortune to the L&B - a project to revitalise Exmoor's economy to the benefit of all North Devon.

There's nothing on the website, the groups.io site or either of the facebook sites. The meeting was starting at 10am - surely there must be some indications by now?

Don't forget they have an option to defer any decision pending just about anything.
