SD website has been updated to show Mayflower now the rostered engine for five trips in May & June. Given that David Buck, the person who has taken over from Marcus Robertson as SD's chief honcho, is Mayflower's owner, this is hardly a surprise. 6233 was originally rostered for the four Sherborne trips in March/April, but this has now changed to "Steam hauled."

Following on from my earlier post, the trains originally allocated to 6233 are now to be hauled by a "Stanier Black Five". Again, no surprise here. How would main line steam in the preservation era ever have coped without Sir Willam's 5MTs, one wonders!

Maybe tempted to do the 14th Feb runs if half price and will certainly do the Cardiff trip. I didn't receive the email so could you please post the discount codes or how to get the discount. Many thanks.

If I read the page correctly it is only valid for old folk like me who are over 60.

I wonder if the email deal is for previous customers as website still gives original prices.

I had a phone call from Steam Dreams a few minutes ago as I'd sent them an email on Monday, with a follow up today as I didn't get a reply. Apparently they've had trouble sending to btinternet.com addresses. My main account is with BT so if yours is that might be why you've missed emails. Might also be linked to versions of Windows. If you've got an alternative email address send them it for their records.

Yes there was Ralph. Contacted them and they didn't seem to know what was causing it. Seems to be an intermittent issue.

BTInternet has been a problem for years. For many, but not all, a BT email account will actually be run by Yahoo.

The BT Yahoo addresses go through Yahoo as an Email Host. The @btinternet.com seem to go to a BT Hosted service.

When I'm not riding on steam trains I work on the Technical desk for an ISP, and we periodically have delivery problems to BT. In BT Webmail there is apparently a link you can click on to report an email as spam, which stops you receiving further emails from that sender. Unfortunately it also causes BT to regard the sending server as being a source of spam, and so they block it. It only seems to take just a couple of BT users to click "This is spam" on emails that have originated from one of our users, and suddenly we find that none of our users at all can email BT. It's a real pain! Half the time the people clicking "This is spam" are doing so on emails that they have themselves subscribed to, and they just don't want anymore. Rather than following the unsubscribe procedure listed at the bottom of the email they just click on that one link in BT Webmail instead.

Wish BT's 'Spam' filter was that good for me. Hardly ever works when I try to block emails. Good to know other users incompetence can cause such problems, not!!!

Not so. It's more complicated. Every possible combination appears to be used. Eg I have a btinternet.com address that is Yahoo.

PS It is not possible to turn BT's spam filter off.
