60009 fit in time for this one. Kudos to Riley and team.

Looks to be going without a deisel? Would the WCR generator be in this set?

I must admit I did not know WCRC had a generator car, and certainly not in the Southall set normally, it may be a cool day without for those on board.
It could of course be that they need to top and tail the train as there may be a need for a diesel to take the ECS out to Holgate (although the stock was propelled in by the diesel on the November 4th FS trip despite the fact I though NR were not keen on propel moves). I am also not sure if you can run round at Norwich these days are the crossovers still there?

There was a generator car going round on the back of a set for a couple of Christmas run last December. I’ve heard it’s also been on test around the Carnforth circuit last month too.

23 late at Ely Nth. Jct. Was 7 late off Norwich so that's another 16 dropped en route. I wonder what's the reason?

A fire on a train between PBO and GRA is causing disruption.

But would that have ramifications as far back as before Thetford?

1H02 is the cause of the delays, currently sat on the DF at Helpston Jn.

Dunno about a fire, but someone collared me at Lolham and said it was due to ruptured diesel tanks on a 180 - you could certainly smell diesel as you crossed the track at Helpston where there were 2x fire engines and 2x ambulances in attendance.

D'you know, I wondered why it was so quiet....

    National Rail says

A broken down train caused by an obstruction on the track between Peterborough and Grantham is causing disruption to journeys between these stations. Trains may be delayed by up to 60 minutes or cancelled.
    Disruption is expected until 12:30.

Apparently the (Hull) train hit an obstruction and this damaged a fuel line. So that's our 'set of three' incidents that have caused chaos with steam charters. The SD Southend-Alresford and Alton-Bath trips and now the RTC Norwich-York trip. Let's hope that's an end to it.

Two of the four lines reopened and she's on the move again

Indeed Big Al, a disastrous week for steam tours all caused by outside influences. You could not really make this stuff up, but I guess the obstruction today could be storm related.

Anyone know if it has a diesel at the back? March to Babworth Loop with and hour standing at Peterborough seems a long way if No 9 is heating the train as well.

Little bit surprised they let a steam special past the train with damaged fuel lines, admittedly its diesel but H & S normally prevails.

I hope she doesn't have to wait for the queue behind her to come past.

Lets hope the emergency services don't board 60009 and put the fire out...

    Looped at Claypole.

Quite a queue has built up. Looks like the next available path out of the loop is after 1H03
