Any word if 48151 is still looking likely for the Tin Bath in November? It's tempting, but don't want to book if it turns into something else. To ride behind an 8F over "my patch" is where interest lies, I've done a Black Five and Jubilee over these parts already.

Looking at the Bognor Belle, any idea if there's likely to be any diesel assistance throughout the day, save for banking out of Victoria? Can you turn locos at Bognor?

I think a diesel will be needed for this tour.

Likely to have diesel on the back , and to be diesel hauled between Bognor and Littlehampton. The one I went on to these destinations in 2006 did see http://www.uksteam.info/tours/t06/t0923e.htm

Highly likely that the day will have a diesel at the rear all of the time. It will also be needed to draw the train back from Bognor to Littlehampton.
Edit: I see we are all saying the same thing so it must be true!
PS: Don't hold your breath for the return routing via Wimbledon to Victoria. Something deosn't add up there.

Something else that looks odd is the description of Premier Dining on the website as including "a full English breakfast and a four course lunch" rather than breakfast and dinner.

Thanks gents. Yes, was a little confused at the return routing too.

I'm not anti-diesel on the back (I'm 22, so am far too young to remember steam properly) as my view is if it's a diesel on the back or no tour, I'll take the former, but it's useful to know. I'll wait until the confirmed timings/weather forecasts come out before making up my mind.

I suspect that it will veer off to Three Bridges at Horsham, or will head back as outward. Would prefer the former option, but it's the branches I'm after.

Good to see a tour on the Arun valley line again. @Big Al Why the doubts about the Mole valley?

It's not the Mole Valley that is the problem. I don't know but I think that there may be an issue with the return via Motspur Park/Wimbledon. That would need a route via Tooting where there is a gauging problem and has been for some time. Far more likely (and logical) is a return from Leatherhead via Mitcham and Streatham. It just looks like one of those RTC fairy stories to me but we shall see. Even without that it is an interesting day out.

How about via East Putney? I see some of the trains are going that way during the Waterloo blockade.

Last time a similar tour was run back in October 2007 we came back Leatherhead, Sutton, West Croydon, Norwood Junction and into Victoria. Not quite sure how they are proposing Wimbledon fits into the equation if you are coming up from Leatherhead and Sutton, unless as Big Al said they actually plan to go via Motspur Park to Raynes Park and then cross over again at Wimbledon. Rare track but unlikely I suspect. Wimbledon also an issue as Platform 9 is bi directional and with a 30 min service both ways on the Sutton Circle not much leeway in paths, or crossing the main lines west of Wimbledon without thinking of an gauging issues. I guess TFL may not want steam on the East Putney line with the intensive District Line service. Still who knows stranger things have happened.
It will be a popular tour based on how many stewards volunteered for it.

Might have to see if I can get time off work to see 60009 on the Bath Christmas Market from Three Bridges on November 28th. Might be my last chance to see 60009 (it would be I think my first time seeing it in steam as well).

It looks as though the Cumbrian Coast Express previously listed by RYTC for the 30th September isn't running?
It's still showing on UKsteam.info but seems to have gone from the RYTC site..

Perhaps fully booked so no need to continue with advertising?

Whereas a listing and full description has re-appeared on RTC's own website, and it is open for bookings...

In that case the best guess is loco availability issue, assuming bookings were ok.
There is another charter same day in the north.

One would hope that the promoter would have a better idea that UKSteam whether it is running or not.

Been very quiet round the coast since the S&C reopened, although we still see a fair bit of diesel charter traffic, strange the diesel market seems to like it but not the steam one?
