Ah didn't realise the Teddy Bear was getting a run out also. Has the Railmotor trailer gone down by road as well?

Class 14 has now been removed from the train and is sitting on demo line. WCRC Class 47 47237 just arrived through the gate.

Edit: Class 14 has apparently been declared out of gauge.

So a true piece of GWR heritage is out of gauge on the GWML. Network Rail - how do you feel?

A subtlely different shot of 70013 at Hatton, and one at Harbury.

    Not quite so!

The Class 14 has failed to be registered in time, which is why it will not be going; the trailer was gauge-cleared for the route but the registration had a 25mph max. speed restriction. A path at that speed on the GWML would have been virtually impossible.

Looks like they are on their way. So 6023 has her wheels back on the big railway where she belongs, feeling rather emotional about this.

Please excuse the shocking phone photo quality... 6023 and 70013 leave Didcot.

Looking at the video leaving Didcot on the main line looks like 6023 was doing more than being in light steam....

A few of my mobile pictures from Didcot this afternoon during the pit stop for 70013 as 6023 was prepared by the GWS to head out on to the Main Line. 60009 also made sure that she captured the attention of photographers. Thanks to all involved for one of the best afternoons I have ever had at Didcot. Even on it's first main line outing being towed in "light steam", 6023 looks striking and simply beautiful in it's blue livery. So much more than if it were green.

Hopefully, it'll be creating a huge impression very soon.

Yes I thought that 6023 appeared to be doing some useful work. I guess that the run will have been good for checking the bearings etc. as the speeds reached appear to be quite reasonable.
