A Union between Cromwell and a King, Didcot 31/8/17

Here are some of my mobile pictures from a superb afternoon spent at Didcot today.
70013 Oliver Cromwell made a brief visit to collect 6023 King Edward II for the Old Oak Common Open Day on Saturday 2nd September. A4 60009 Union of South Africa was also in action on the demo line with footplate experience turns. Thank you to all involved for a brilliant afternoon.

Apologies for the distinct lack of pictures that appeared in the original post. It seems I lost my Internet connection when uploading the pictures and this has screwed up the post completely. I have been trying to delete it so I could start again but haven't had much luck. I will try again tomorrow. Could one of the mods get rid of this thread or perhaps lock it?

Edit: Pictures now seem to be working!

I think it screwed up the colour settings on the first 3 pics too....

 

Sir Felix Pole would have agreed with that observation.

 

Er, right, well the pictures have actually now loaded up. Don't know what is going on with this thread. Thanks to the Mods if you have sorted it out!

Nah. Proper colour for a King. None of this drab mud-green rubbish.

 

Not a fan of the blue livery then.....
I rather like it. 6023 wears it well as does 60007. 35005 looked really good even though the Rebuilt Merchant Navy loco's never carried the livery in service.

Tornado looked very good in it too - and the finish on her was superb!

 

Now where is that "opposite of like" button...
