He's talking about Flying Scotsman from Victoria to Chester and then LE Chester to Carnforth. Took me a while for the penny to drop.

Realtime shows the Nthbound tomorrow as pass at Appleby at 12.06, rather than taking water. Is this correct?

Yes, it's watering at Langwathby, probably due to the Horse Fair.

That said, 46115 was timed to do the same on one of the return runs in 2015 (also during Horse Fair week), and it watered at Appleby as normal.

Which times are correct Ian the WTT ones or Realtime as there's a big difference.

I think RTT has form for doing that before. WTT column is the correct one as far as I'm aware. The RTT column is only allowing 5 mins at Hellifield loop to detach the diesel, which is definitely wrong.

Steam is attached to the back at Carnforth, then dragged to Hellifield is the info I've been given.

Far from ideal conditions today above Garsdale - windy and low cloud.

From the Appleby water stop it was a noisy run to Ais Gill, Kirkby Stephen passed at just over 30mph, speed rose to around 37 past Birkitts and only on the last bit to the summit did it fall back to 30. As I said plenty of noise and cinders right down the 13th coach. All this in pretty sunny conditions unlike the northbound run when low cloud shrouded the hills.

That's some fair power being put down through Appleby. Impressive indeed and quite unexpected! Great footage.
