Not much sign of Clan Line going on test yet, though the next Belmond Pullman is only a week away (17 May to Bristol). Not sure if there is a standby loco.

I hear on the grapevine that Braunton will deputise again

Highly likely that UKsteam hasn't picked up the gauging issue at Thatcham that prevents Braunton from using the Berks and Hants route in the up direction.

That is correct. Return is via Swindon. I was showing the alternative path via Salisbury.

The UKSteam times show it via Newbury after Didcot! Something's amiss, I think. 'Tornado' is also shown as the likely loco - I hadn't realised it was in the south again.

At the moment the weather forecast is not looking good for the return journey

Tornado appeared on a BBC Look North video on Facebook last night in steam. Graeme Bunker confirmed Tornado would be on the BBP.

Confirmed on Special Traffic Notice as 60163, subject to normal caveats about FTR exams.

    Cheers, Neil

Every time I have seen the Surrey Hills belmond it has had it's own genny car for ETH in the train, surely the Bristol trip will be the same?

Tornado all prepped and ready to go. No diesel booked other than the usual shove out of Vic. Give us a wave if you are out seeing us.

Tornado departed from London Victoria on time. The diesel arrived at Stewarts Lane at 09:00. :) <BJ>

Good to see Tonado today although I managed to get rather wet while waiting for her. :( <BJ>
