Lydia is not part of the national collection.

It was lent to the NRM to be part of the 'Churchill's Final Journey' exhibition in 2015.

It was owned by the Swanage Railway when it was in the NRM and not the NRM.

It was so listed on the vintage carriages trust website but in fact it has never been owned by the Swanage Railway.

Brilliant though the VCT is, its owned by section isn't the most accurate!

Like all web sites like this it is the information they are given is what is on the site, and if you find a mistake point it out to them, and the information will be corrected. Also if a new coach/wagon comes to your railway let them know as well.

Oh absolutely, I wasn't criticising them at all. I always tend to hold back on suggesting corrections on owned by as they can cause disgruntlement, especially if it turns out information isn't true, but quite often even when it is, individuals would rather remain anonymous.

On the other hand, not everybody wants their ownership of an item of rolling stock plastered over the Internet publicly.

Quite. I'd rather not upset anyone purely for the sake of accuracy!

I think that The VCT will put something like "private individual" or "private group / consortium" in order to maintain privacy for owners on the public database
But I do feel that all records should be as accurate as possible.

Is it planned to keep it as a body only or are there any plans to put some running gear under it to make it more movable?

Probably not in the short term, the C&W team have a multitude of urgent projects at the moment. Also this has all happened quite quickly, so I don't think that there is a firm plan in place yet.

The NYMR's Mk.I BSO No.9267, which was part of the formation of the last passenger train over the S&D, is reportedly going on loan to Midsomer Norton.

Three sets of spoked, outside bearing wheelsets, looked like tender wheels, (if a little small), on a low loader heading south on the M5 this morning, near Tewkesbury, any ideas what/where?

The ex-Bluebell LNWR semi-Royal saloon is now sitting in a pub car park next to the A224 near Shoreham, which is a bit of a shame.
