    Can't say for certain but reading between the lines I believe the visit of the 2 5's was just a coincidence and I imagine that they would come at no extra cost.

    As the tour is now off that changes the probability of them being there but never say never :)

    If 43924 is not running would anyone happen to know if it may be in a position to photograph as it was one of my reasons for visiting. Even inside as I wanted to take some detail shots for model work.

    Revised roster

    KWVR email update;

    The situation with the two 'Black 5s', 45212 and 45407 remains fluid. They are due mainline certification this week and if that is forthcoming they should arrive on the Railway Friday evening by our connection at Keighley. This, of course precludes their participation on Friday, but will, if they do arrive, operate Saturday and Sunday requiring an amendment to the working timetables as previously published.

    I believe that the organisers found it a bit much having the Autumn Gala very close to the Beer and Music Festival in October, so it looks as though there will only be one gala each year for large locomotives in future.

    Theres a small loco gala coming up later in the year, saw a poster for it today but can't remember the date!
    Gala was good today 45212 on great form, 61264 had quite a slippy departure from Keighley, was very well handled to not come to a stand!

    Action from the Friday at KWVR and scenes from Llangollen on the Saturday. Happy to see that the weather improved for everyone on the Saturday as Friday's weather was dire !
