    Hi there,

Sorry if this post is in the wrong topic, just inquiring if there is any 40 - 60 lb rail available for a narrow gauge track/relaying project?

    Cheers,

    Darragh

I am not sure if there is any for sale at the moment, but it is worth typing in rail sales on the web as all sort of stuff is up for sale at the moment.

    Regards

    Colin

The Eastriggs rail has allegedly all gone to China.

However those in the market for rail may be interested to know there will be approx. half a mile of good reusable 35lb rail available from Launceston shortly.

Not quite all, according to the 'Isabel Gazette' I have just received from the Amerton railway they were able source a substantial amount of rail and turnouts.

Amerton Railway do indeed have a large amount of the rail from Eastriggs, due to a change in circumstances not all of it could be lifted. As far as I know there are still some bits in circulation. You can actually buy rail new too, but it's not cheap!

Ffestiniog plus Welshpool & Llanfair jointly buy rail periodically from Poland. They may agree to your coming in for a joint purchase. As said, not likely to be cheap.
