Couldn't agree more - I have posted onto a beer group on Facebook and it would have been good to provide more information about the real ale event

I was under the impression that beer festivals were organised by the people who sell (and get the profit from) their wares, so PR may not know exactly whats on offer, the host venue getting their cut though I could be wrong.
I've been to Barrow Hill festivals and there would be far too many brews (most of which I, at any rate, have never heared of) to list individualy, though I agree more info would be helpful.
At BH you get a 1/2 pint glass on paying your entry then buy beer tickets seperately
Of course this is just my experience, and expectation and doesn't mean PRs event will be the same

Many rail ale festivals are organised by the railways themselves and make significant sums to the benefit of their funds.

WP_20160828_17_07_57_Pro.jpg between rain spells and sunshine the charter today came.and went, there was a little.delay getting it back onto the network as the Network rail token key became stuck in their frame but was eventually freed to get things going,on our side we managed to replace the cut out piece on church lane gate with some.canadian oak hardwood Andrew sorted out and glued filled that on place, the bracket will be rewelded next time, and we also tried to replace a cracked catch handle on rowsley north but the replacement itself.had a blow defect in its casting so Il look for another instead,I know now why some remake them.in welded steel instead

I was too busy with john at riverside today to get to.see any of the project Icon launch, but did manage to call on the Ashover chaps wh were hard at it concreting their floor inside the new workshop,I also managed to chat with Harvey about work on Mark 2 coach in first coats of new.paint inside the shed at rowsley, alongside the work on the exhibition coach and Keirons busy with the motion gear on Royal Pioneer, I noted the LMSCA have been busy making up more MR design platform benches and hopefully too we should see the lamp tops going on the down platform lights at Darley Dale soon as Ben and colleagues have been busy.

If the Ashover guys are putting down what looks like pretty permanent roots at PR, does this mean they've given up any ambitions of reopening part of the original Ashover line?

    Thanks

The Real Ale event at Peak Rail has been cancelled - very disappointed

There seems to be an outbreak of mixmytosis on the moors in the Peak District

A converted DVT has arrived at Peak Rail. Description provided by Andrew Briddon - TOPS Code NAA (Propelling Control Van) for the RM Parcel trains - formerly a Class 307 EMU Driving Vehicle. It's in primarily for component recovery but will be resurrected with replacement parts later. Long term plan is to make it operate in push pull with several of my locos.

John,Andrew and myself spent yesterday (how long does it take to fill two holes with concrete) filling the remaining box holes with you guessed it concrete, the Ashover gang were also hard at it and they're shed floor is now finished too,The HST had they're shed opened up and we're working away with quite a few visitors, one German couple just visiting the Buxton area. Managed to have a nice chat with and the LMSCA were working away up in their shed too, David and Ruth have been busy away from Rowsley box for a change at Darley doing woodwork and repairs and repainting for which a thank you goes to Harv and the gang for making up the box name boards new beading which David's on with, Harv and Ben themselves were busy repainting the carriage in top coats in the shed.

Next for us is steelwork now, which will occupy the remainder of the winter months fabricating and erecting, there's still a little job once the concrete is dry on the box legs of skimming a smooth top coat on the concrete by hand with another small layer to bring it up to level.

Ashbrooks roofing at the Rowsleysite entrance have started to relay prestressed concrete sections over the old bridge to extend their site, which must rate as the first major bridge rebuild on the line since we relayed to Matlock and Mick had to do the small underbridges en route

Confirmation of the identity would be appreciated but I understand it to be 95301 previously located at Carnforth. The wording of the comment implies it actually belongs to Andrew Briddon Locos rather than the railway itself or one of the directly related groups. However no mention of it on the Andrew Briddon Locos website http://www.andrewbriddonlocos.co.uk/ as far as I can tell.
