Going to give this one a miss tomorrow, as the route is pretty bland for photography ! I will wait until 6201 heads over to the Welsh Marches in September. Hope all goes well regardless.

Someone has posted on facebook that 6201 and the stock are staying overnight at Kings Cross, probably more easier for the crews to get early bacon rolls ey! ;)

That's what the OTT timings say. Lizzie attached at Ferme Park on the stock move and whole consist remaining at the Cross until the morning.

Interesting, Derby Telegraph says the inbound train is going via Spondon. With the pacific coming off a Derby and running LE back to Trent to turn, whilst the diesel and tour continues to Matlock.

However the OTT timings say the inbound is via Castle Donnington and Stenson. If my Geography is right the train would therefore have to reverse at Stenson jct to arrive at Derby with the diesel leading. The pacific would then be the right way around for the return journey.

Return has left Derby diesel hauled, after arriving 40 late. Any one know what's happened?

I've just seen someone doing an FB live video at Derby with Lizzie seemingly in (lightish) steam behind the station, not sure what's up with it though.

'The Cathedrals Express' with 6201 'Princess Elizabeth' at New Zealand Bridge. Lets hope she makes a speedy recovery and is back soon! Poor ol' girl.

Disappointing news about 6201. Let's hope it's not a big job.

And let's hope that this sees the end of water feed problems with main line steam. For those who may be superstitious, you will have noticed that we have now had our set of three: Tornado, Scots Guardsman and Princess Elizabeth.

Been told by my mate who saw the return leg yesterday, driver John Daniel was due to take 'Lizzie' back to the X, but took the diesel back instead and said that during 6201's movements around Derby having come back from Castle Donington, Network Rail sent her onto the 'wrong track' and the loco ended up taking a very tight curve somewhere around the station, and the connections came out as a result. They tried to get it repaired before the 47 brought the train back from Matlock so she could be put on to resume her return journey, but couldn't be done in time. GG, Network Rail!
