Did I imagine it, or did I read on here recently that 6201 is rostered for this trip? Can anyone confirm, please? The RTC web-site and UKsteam.info both still say 70013. I've not heard about Ollie's progress for a while, but seems to me she's unlikely to have had all the necessary tests in less than 2 weeks.

UKsteam.info shows a l/e move (tbc) for Lizzie from Butterley to Southall next Tuesday (28th), which looks promising...

Would be good if that's true, would see a Sapperton climb beginning and the end of July for her.

Just to clarify, the provisional move from Butterley to Southall on Tuesday 28 June appeared on uksteam.info before 6201's test runs and the hot box problem at Derby, as a consequence of which it did not move to Butterley. I have no direct knwoledge of the current plans for 6201, but I suspect that the move to Southall is likely to be delayed.

6201 did make it to Butterley and is currently at West Shed, according to the Society's facebook page they'll know more about timescale for repairs once the work on 46233 has been completed.

From the 'tone' of the 70013 Face Ache page on 15th June I don't think there's any chance of it being 70013. It hasn't turned a wheel yet since being re-tyred has it?

How about 34052. Isn't she (or rather he) still at Stewarts Lane?

With Tornado back down, it must be pretty crowded round the coal bin.

It's still listed in the RTC web-site, so I think it's running. Question is: what's the motive power? Looks like Lizzie isn't available - unless she's in steam at Butterley today?? There's no mention on Icons Of Steam about Lord Dowding stepping in, though there's still time for that to happen... Any late-notice l/e moves from Carnforth tomorrow or Friday? Which locos are actually gauged for the route? My inner pessimist says it will be diesel-hauled.

Looks like a Carnforth engine moving to Southall on 5V44 Friday 1 July. Probably 46115 (if it is in working order) or one of the Jubilees.

46115 on Sapperton would be unmissable ! You would hear the roar from Stroud !

Usually the Cotswold Venturer trips are pure steam. It will be very disappointing if there is a box on back, especially after last Saturdays tour, where a cold Jubilee took 11 up Miles Platting unassisted !

Only have a day to wait to see what comes south from Carnforth. Would be good if it's the Scot which could stay down and do the first Duchy to Par perhaps?
